Transtextuality from Bakhtin to Genette: dialogism and intertextuality put to the test of didactic transpositions
Overview & Synopsis
Texts tend to function in an essentially dialogic manner. The questions of dialogism and textual transcendence, introduced by Bakhtin, are theorized in a more profound way through Genette's work on intertextuality. However, if Bakhtin's work constitutes an essential reference for language didactics and more particularly for theorists of communicative and action approaches, research relating to intertextuality is weakly used in didactics, being almost limited to the teaching of writing in particular through the famous imitation exercises.
