Directory Nature of the Platform
MainReads is an information directory. We index links and bibliographic metadata (such as titles, authors, and abstracts) pointing to files hosted on external servers. We do not permanently store or claim ownership of third-party PDF files.
Notice and Takedown Procedure
If you are a copyright owner or an authorized agent and believe that a document indexed on this directory infringes upon your copyright, please provide an official notification containing the following:
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- The specific URL(s) on MainReads where the catalog record is located.
- Your full name, contact address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notification is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
