This book explores the uniqueness and importance of the Strait of Gibraltar from Punic domination to the fall of Granada. This geohistorical region, situated between two continents and between the Mediterranean and the Atlantic, was much more than a simple transit zone. It has been a passageway for people, goods, ideas and cultural models. The book analyzes these flows and networks of exchange, on local and global scales, drawing on written sources, cartography and archaeology.

For about ten years numerous studies have been carried out in France about roman lamps. This one, for the first time and for a masters’ degree research, is oriented toward the systematic study of productions from several potters’ workshops in Montans (Tarn), ail from welldated archaeological context. More than a simple descriptive inventory, the author gives us a chronology of the Ist and IInd centuries. Her analysis of three associated criteria (decoration/type/sig nature, mark), based upon the study of 900 pieces, reveals some original aspects of the potters’ practice and leads to interesting interpretations about the technique used most of the time in Montans which consists in making moulds from lamps already in use.

Les migrations internationales constituent un véritable défi pour le monde contemporain. Bien que le constat ne soit pas nouveau, la croissance des flux dans le contexte actuel géopolitique, économique et environnemental appelle de nouveaux regards. Face à la diversification des destinations, des foyers de départ ou encore des profils des migrants, l’ouvrage privilégie la parole de « l’acteur migrant » et accorde une large place à ses stratégies et ses trajectoires. Sans sous-estimer les déterminants macro-économiques ou géopolitiques, les auteurs éclairent les initiatives des populations en migration et révèlent l’épaisseur sociale de leurs expériences. Ils mettent l’accent sur les logiques des organisations collectives et des réseaux sociaux, sur le rôle des migrants dans le développement ou encore sur les dynamiques culturelles associées au fait migratoire. Selon une perspective pluridisciplinaire, et à partir d’exemples africains, sud-américains ou asiatiques, l’ouvrage met en valeur la construction de nouveaux territoires de mobilité et montre la diversité des trajectoires migratoires depuis les pays du Sud vers ceux du Nord mais aussi, et de plus en plus, entre pays du Sud.

The objective of this research was to determine the level of relationship between perceptual skills and the learning of mathematics of 5-year-old children from an educational institution in Huancavelica, in remote education. The design used was correlational and the sample consisted of 46 students of 5 years of age from an early education institution in Huancavelica. The instruments used were the checklist for each variable with 30 items. The results show that there is a statistically significant relationship between perceptual skills and the learning of mathematics in 5-year-old students of an educational institution in Huancavelica, in remote education. These quantitative results, with an r=0.75, represent a moderate positive correlation, according to the table of correlation indexes of Hernandez, Fernandez and Baptista (2018)

The ethnobiology of wild foods has received increasing attention within the scientific arena in recent years, since many traditional foodways around the world are still based on some local wild plant, fungal, and animal ingredients, as well as their food products and culinary preparations. Moreover, wild foods have often been the subject of valorization processes at local and regional levels, with complex outcomes in terms of socio-economic impact. Wild foods around the globe therefore urgently further need to be in-depth documented and evaluated, not only for their biological, chemical, technological, nutritional, and pharmacological aspects, but especially in their social, cultural, and religious significance. This reprint bridges the gap between the biological and social scientific aspects of wild foods.

This book's audience will be academics and undergraduate and postgraduate students working in the fields of legal history and comparative history, as well as History and Law more generally. Consequently, the cells elicit an elaborate signalling network, known as DNA damage response (DDR), to detect and repair these cytotoxic lesions.
