Writing a comprehensive scientific book about the cerebral palsy is a great challenge. Many different interventions are available for persons with CP. Increasingly, it is recognized that intervention needs to be evidence-based and family-centered. Related therapies can offer improvement in some cases but do not offer a cure. Lifelong re/habilitation (habilitation and rehabilitation) in person with cerebral palsy is the first part of this book which has four chapters about management in children and adults with cerebral palsy through the life span, providing support and services. Three chapters of the second part are exploring the new therapy options which could improve the family quality of life. Third part has two chapters about complementary therapies with new possibilities for the future.

Entrepreneurship has been seen as a phenomenon allowing economic development, job creation, increased productivity and innovation, but many studies do not include the causes of these events. Consequently, the objective of this book is to fill this gap by combining several studies from more practice-oriented perspectives. The various chapters presented here follow several approaches which researchers explore in different contexts and link to specific experiences in entrepreneurship. This book intends to contribute to better understanding of the phenomenon of entrepreneurship and innovation, and to show how these business practices can stimulate economic development in various countries and regions worldwide.

The archaeological excavations of the Župna cerkev cemetery in Kranj began in 1953 and were completed in 2013. The explored cemetery consists of 2,936 graves and the Museum of Gorenjska (Gorenjski muzej) in Kranj has inventoried 3,263 items from this cemetery. The purpose of the monograph is the publication of the graves excavated between 1964 and 1970 by Andrej Valič, curator at the Museum of Gorenjska. Data are drawn from all available sources (field documentation, artefacts, photographs, inventory books, analysis of skeletons, etc.).The plan of the graves, which took shape while studying the material, for the first time combines all the previously excavated graves of the Župna cerkev cemetery in Kranj. Because of the size of the cemetery and the high density of burials in some parts, the quadrants are shown by individual pages instead of the usual one-piece insert. The first part of the book is a study on the nature of the data presented, while the catalogue in addition to the usual data contains also comments on all potential oddities and inconsistencies.

The most famous novel by Stanisław Lem was based on the structure of the myth of Euridice and Orpheus. An enigmatic lyric by Aleksander Wat appears to be a brilliant grammar of creating a scene of losing Euridice anew. Czesław Miłosz is the author of one of the most revelatory readings of Orpheus’s story, and one that is typical of our ‘Secular Age’ at the same time. In her play written during World War II, Anna Świrszczyńska undertook an incorporation of the figure of Orpheus into the history of travel to the Hades: a hero of a community, deprived, up to that point, of his own storyline. The terminally ill Stanisław Wyspiański was also drafting a play about the hero; Konstanty Ildefons Gałczyński mentioned similar plans in his notes from a prisoner-of-war camp. These are just examples of the surprisingly rich and varied Polish reception of the stories of the first artist, previously only studied to a lesser degree. This monograph is devoted to Polish literature of the last one hundred years, as well as the centuries-old history of the transformations of the Orpheus myth in Western art. In it, one can find a proposal of a mythological reading of works not directly related to the storyline, a reflection on the alternative history of its reception, as well as on the future fate of the topic. The text incorporates fifteen contextual fragments, pertaining to the key elements and classical realisations of the myth: these can be read in any order, as entries in a, previously inexistent, Orphean encyclopaedia.

The Jewish Life of Jesus (Toledot Yeshu) is perhaps one of the most infamous retellings of the gospel narrative of the pre-modern era. The present essay explores its reception and circulation of among both Jews and Christians in the period before and after the first editions of the work, by J.C. Wagenseil in 1681 and J.J. Huldreich in 1705. The work was an object of fascination for early modern scholars of Judaism and was regularly invoked in discussions concerned with the Talmud and other Jewish books alleged to be “blasphemous.” For Jewish scholars, it was a source of embarrassment, although both the manuscript and documentary evidence demonstrates that many Jews did view Toledot Yeshu as a culturally significant narrative, worthy of being transmitted. It is here suggested that Toledot Yeshu, with its direct and emotional cogency, combining history, humour, and polemics, was indeed recognized by early-modern Jews and crypto-Jews as a powerful story, to which they could articulate their identity.
