This research focused on how the architectural design of food processing plants located in the district of Sullana is related to environmental sustainability. It was a basic, analytical, structured study; with a non-experimental, cross-sectional, descriptive, correlational design; having 9 food processing plants as study units. The results of the study show that with a p_Value greater than the significance level, the architectural envelope structure is not significantly related to the quality of air, water and soil in food processing plants. With a p_Value greater than the significance level, it is not significantly related to air, water and soil quality in food processing plants. Architectural space and air, water and soil pollution. With a p_Value of 0.018, architectural space is significantly related to air quality; however, with a p_Value well above the significance level, architectural space is not significantly related to water and soil quality. These findings allow us to conclude that with a p_Value of 0.764, architectural design is not significantly related to environmental sustainability in food processing plants in the district of Sullana.

Hematology encompasses the physiology and pathology of blood and of the blood-forming organs. In common with other areas of medicine, the pace of change in hematology has been breathtaking over recent years. There are now many treatment options available to the modern hematologist and, happily, a greatly improved outlook for the vast majority of patients with blood disorders and malignancies. Improvements in the clinic reflect, and in many respects are driven by, advances in our scientific understanding of hematological processes under both normal and disease conditions. Hematology - Science and Practice consists of a selection of essays which aim to inform both specialist and non-specialist readers about some of the latest advances in hematology, in both laboratory and clinic.

This reprint compiles key advancements in natural gas hydrate development, focusing on extraction optimization, risk mitigation, and environmental safeguards. Innovative well designs such as cluster vertical wells and horizontal serpentine configurations enhance production efficiency through depressurization, seawater injection, and hybrid gas displacement. Multi-stage depressurization significantly reduces water–gas ratios while boosting methane recovery. Sand production, wellbore instability, and cascading seabed failures from reservoir deformation constitute critical challenges. However, advanced integrated multiphysics models can predict methane leakage pathways and subsidence patterns. Breakthroughs in this field include the cyclopentane purification method using hydrate formation principles (obtaining 92% efficiency without distillation) and South China Sea studies linking geochemical heterogeneity to hydrate distribution controlled by mass transport deposits. Controlled experiments and temperature–pressure evolution models guide safe, high-yield system design in low-permeability reservoirs. This synthesis highlights balanced approaches to exploitation, prioritizing both technical feasibility and environmental sustainability, offering decision support tools for managing subsurface uncertainties during commercial-scale natural gas hydrate operations.

Matters of ancestry, race and racism endure within Heathenry, a new religious movement drawing inspiration from the pre-Christian religions of northern Europe. Most Heathens, termed ‘inclusivist’ or ‘universalist’, welcome all with a spiritual interest in the ancient heathen past, regardless of ethnicity, sexuality or gender. But a ‘folkish’ Heathen minority, often identifying as Odinist, centre their thinking around ethnocentricity and heterosexist values. Racist Heathenry requires scrutiny as it has been influential in recent terrorist incidents in the UK, Norway, USA and New Zealand. Faith, folk and the far right offers the first detailed examination of extremist Heathenry and occultism in the UK and how anti-racist Heathens are working actively to counter this discourse. Part I explores the spectrum of Heathen practice today and the historical origins of racist Heathenry in nineteenth century Germanic romanticism and twentieth century folkish nationalism. Part II examines the three main extremist Heathen organisations in the UK, the Odinic Rite, the Odinist Fellowship and Woden’s Folk, and their claims to the ‘authentic’ ‘folk-religion’ of the ‘ancestral’ English. The book extends its discussion to the neo-Nazi occult organization the Order of the Nine Angles (O9A), and the wider racist Heathen cultural scene, focussing on Black Metal music. Part III analyses how anti-racist Heathens are countering racist discourse, from visible protests at far-right rallies to inter-faith forums and an active presence on social media platforms. The book makes an important contribution to the intersecting fields of new religious movements, nationalist history and racist politics.

This paper is a brief reflection on my relationship with Professor Riccardo Del Punta. Initially, he was my mentor (I am among the few, or perhaps the only, economist to have had Riccardo as supervisor for my PhD research project in Law and Economics). He guided my in the study of works by scholars like Otto Kahn-Freund, John R. Commons and Guido Calabresi. As colleagues, once I obtained a university professorship, we contributed to the birth and growth of the Italian Society of Law and Economics (SIDE, www.side-isle.it). As friends, after many years of interaction, I appreciated (and envied) his intellectual elegance and wit. As his mentee (again!), my paper emphasizes that his works on the capability approach in labor law is Riccardo Del Punta’s main international academic legacy.
