Overview & Synopsis

Abstract Today the TV commercial constitutes the most broadcasted program on our screens. Very early, it adopted in a completely symptomatic way the storytelling or the no genre's land, we can add it is the most primitive and the most widespread shape of "reality tv", showing since its origins without scruple the intimacy and the ordinary life of our contemporaries. In the same way as the other fictional productions of the mass culture, TV commercial represents one of the faces of this social mirror fed by the ceaseless circulation of attitudes and faiths, showing even if it is very often a question of an ironic positioning, a second world populated by our avatars. The advertising not only contaminated profoundly the television and the broadcasting by its style but quite as make television series it defines the horizon of the possible for a community. What they realize both it is the entry of the imaginaries into the reality. The social narratives-the advertising which makes part of them-enrich this " reality of the reality " and put in sync with the "world", according to the expression of Luc Boltanski, a "transitional" map which distributes continuously cognitive, civic or emotional cards to their public and through which join some of the answers but on a diverted, euphoric mode-in the questionings which settle somewhere else in a way more cut in the fields of politics or social management.
