Asymmetrical ideal concentrators with polygonal absorbers
Overview & Synopsis
In a recent paper we introduced symmetrical non-focusing concentrators with polygonal absorbers, showing some advantages which they have with respect to other concentrators. In this paper we extend our study of the use of polygonal absorbers to the case of asymmetrical non-focusing concentrators. We introduce here a new family of devices that can be constructed once given the following parameters of use : acceptance angle, inclination an collecting area. We show that they are ideal in the sense defined by Mills and Giutronich for asymmetrical concentrators.
