Mujeres que transforman conocimiento. Innovación educativa e investigación interdisciplinaria para la sostenibilidad
Overview & Synopsis
Women Transforming Knowledge: Educational Innovation and Interdisciplinary Research for Sustainability brings together research emerging from the VI Congress of Women Researchers of the SNII and Ibero-America, examining educational, technological, territorial, environmental, and productive challenges across different scales and disciplinary fields. The book addresses science education, the development of critical thinking through STEAM-S methodologies, academic networks, and research incubators. At the same time, it incorporates studies on artificial intelligence and design, sustainable mobility, bioclimatic strategies in housing, urban expansion, the circular economy, production chains, resource utilization, and the integration of a gender perspective into educational processes. The volume offers a shared perspective: sustainability-related challenges require connecting knowledge, methods, and contexts that are often studied separately. Within this framework, women researchers participate as authors, research team coordinators, and builders of knowledge networks across institutions and territories throughout Ibero-America. The chapters illustrate different ways of producing and transferring knowledge by connecting research with teaching, professional practice, and decision-making. The book thus offers an interdisciplinary approach to education and sustainability, understood as fields of research that are continually shaped by technological, economic, social, and territorial change.
