“Thinking Classroom”-based activities in calculus tutorials: barriers to implementation
Overview & Synopsis
In this poster, we will present an investigation of how a “Thinking classrooms”-based approach has been enacted in the tutorials of a first-semester calculus course. Our aim is to identify barriers to implementation and factors that guide adaptations of the intended design. As we are interested in the enactment of an approach outside of the context in which it was originally developed, this study can be classified as implementation-related research.
