Bayesian receiver design for OFDM systems under severe non-linear distortion effects
Overview & Synopsis
We address joint channel estimation and data detection under unknown non-linearity caused by impaired power amplifiers. Using a Bayesian model with hidden variables for data, channel, and amplifier characteristics, we design a semiblind probabilistic receiver for channel and non-linearity compensation coupled with decoding to minimize the number of pilot symbols. Simulations show high tolerance of the proposed receiver to unknown linear and non-linear impairments, with reasonable computation complexity.
