Overview & Synopsis
Analysis of resultsand final writing of the thesis languages facing inclusion : Languages, like French and Spanish, are known to be strongly gender marked and trying to neutralize them (in order to include non-binary, intersex, or trans people) can represent a real challenge. Still relatively rare approaches in the field of education : Over the past 40 years, numerous inclusive language guides have appeared, and extensive research has been conducted in linguistics and gender studies. However, opinions and practices still vary, making the topic complex and confusing for native speakers. This issue is even less addressed in FLE. The importance of this research is based on proposing an overview of the practice of gender-neutral language and the linguistic possibilities and limits of French. That also allows us to include a comparative approach with the Spanish language.
