Overview & Synopsis

The tasks that were set for this type of schools primary level of education. Reveals the diversity of the disciplines taught in the Sunday school, and training school, where there was a democratic approaches to education and training of children and adults. Based on historical analysis of the «Provisions» shows that the Sunday school appeared in the second half of the nineteenth century, as a new form of education for various age and social (middle and lower) layers of the society, but also served to increase literacy in the country, particularly the Eastern region. Found that by expanding their activities, Sunday schools played a role of centres for primary education for children and adults in the Eastern region.
