The second volume of the ‘Bibliography of Peace Theories’ deals with a period that has received little attention in recent decades, reviewing almost three hundred authors and commenting on more than one hundred in detail. Thus, for the first time, the diversity of approaches to this subject becomes apparent. Only a few of these authors have previously been the subject of relevant literature; therefore, detailed introductions present the political and theoretical context of the discourses reviewed. Historians, political commentators, experts in international law, economists, sociologists, philosophers, theologians and authors for the peace movement are presented. Non-European texts have been included if known in European languages.
