Virtud y libre desarrollo de la personalidad en John Stuart Mill
Overview & Synopsis
This paper highlights that the liberal thinker John Stuart Mill has a teleological vision of existence in terms of which he conceives freedom as the condition of possibility for the development of a virtuous personality. There is, in his conception of human nature, no moral vacuum, but, on the contrary, a commitment to virtue as the highest manifestation of freedom.
