Optimization of Mineral Composites Processability and Performance: Effect of Particle Size, Dispersion, and Combination of Additives
Overview & Synopsis
To sell building materials in Europe, compliance with Euroclasses standards is required. Materials are classified based on their combustibility and performance in fire tests. Gross Heat of Combustion (PCS in French) is measured using the Calorimeter Bomb method according to ISO EN 1716 standard. For PCS values below 3.0 MJ/kg, this standard lacks sufficient clarity, resulting in inconsistent results across laboratories. Therefore, a study was conducted to identify influential factors not addressed in the standard.
