REISAR: Multi-Sensor Robot Inspection for Sewer Tunnel Network
Overview & Synopsis
The REISAR project addresses the critical challenge of inspecting aging, hard-to-access, GPS- denied sewer networks where conventional methods struggle and operator safety is compro- mised. French regulations mandate Class-A underground georeferencing with ≤40 cm ac- curacy, phased for sensitive urban networks by 2026 and all networks nationwide by 2032. This regulatory framework drives the urgent need for precise, repeatable mapping solutions. REISAR advances a Made-in-France robotic solution specifically designed for long, weakly tex- tured tunnels, delivering actionable, georeferenced outputs while minimizing operator exposure to hazardous underground environments.
