Control Simple a Traves de Potenciales Bioelectricos
Overview & Synopsis
This work presents a simple prosthesis control system. The project stems from research into bioelectric potentials in humans, for the development of medical applications. The project consists of three parts: signal acquisition, digitization and processing, and serial transmission and visual output on the computer. The signal is acquired through surface electrodes and amplified for the digital processing stage. Digital processing is performed using an 8-bit FFT algorithm. The processed output is displayed on an LCD screen and simultaneously transmitted serially to the computer. A visual prosthesis, drawn with OpenGL and controlled by the effort exerted by the muscle, is displayed on the computer.
