Overview & Synopsis

Abstract- This article addresses the critical challenge of knowledge transfer in legacy retirement record- keeping systems undergoing modernization as subject matter experts (SMEs) approach retirement. We analyze recent studies on knowledge management during systemtransformationand propose a more feasible Knowledge Transfer Framework (KTF) specifically tailored for retirement administration systems. Our framework integrates tacit and explicit knowledge capture methodologies with modern digital preservation techniques. Case studies demonstratethat organizations implementing structured knowledge transfer protocols during systemmodernization achieve 37% faster implementation as planned and 42% fewer post-modernization incidents. We conclude that effective knowledge channelization represents a critical success factor that supersedes technical considerations in retirement system transformation outcomes.
