(Uploaded by Plazi for the IPBES Invasive Alien Species Assessment) New technologies such as smartphone application software (apps) are increasingly used to reach a wider audience on the subject of invasive alien species (IAS) and to involve the public in recording them. In this paper we present two of the more recent smartphone applications for IAS recording in northwest Europe, the RINSE That's Invasive! app and the KORINA app. We present an overview of available smartphone apps for IAS recording in Europe and address issues of data integration, data openness, data quality, data harmonisation and database interoperability. Finally, we make some recommendations for future app design.

The digital economy is rapidly transforming the global landscape by integrating technology, entrepreneurship, and innovation across every sector. Startups have become the key drivers of this transformation, enabling new models of production, finance, and governance. By 2047, the digital economy is expected to evolve into a deeply interconnected system powered by artificial intelligence, blockchain, decentralized finance, and sustainable technologies. These advancements will reshape industries, empower small enterprises, and foster inclusive growth. This paper explores how startups will act as engines of innovation, leveraging digital tools to solve complex social and economic challenges. It highlights emerging trends such as AI-driven decision-making, edge computing, green technologies, and decentralized governance models that will redefine the global business environment. At the same time, the paper acknowledges the challenges of data privacy, cybersecurity, skill development, and environmental sustainability. Through policy analysis and strategic recommendations, the study emphasizes the importance of strong digital infrastructure, ethical data practices, and inclusive innovation ecosystems to ensure balanced growth. By 2047, success in the digital economy will depend not only on technological advancement but also on human creativity, collaboration, and sustainable practices.

Despite the increasing numbers of women pursuing graduate degrees inthe biological sciences, women remain underrepresented in senior fac-ulty positions, suggesting gendered experiences in graduate educationmay be contributing. Graduate education is a site for students to learnthe expected norms and values of their field, which include discoursesthat coordinate how scientists behave and perform. We used institutionalethnography framed through gendered organization theory to explore thediscourses and practices that organized the experiences of women doctoralstudents in biology, focusing on how those discourses constructed an idealgraduate student and what challenges were associated with meeting thestandards of the ideal graduate student for women. Our findings sug-gest the characteristics of the ideal graduate student, which include anadequate scientific background, prioritization of research, willing to askgood questions, time management skills, and self-motivation, contributedto fear of failure and imposter phenomenon for the women participants inthis study. The findings of this research highlight the importance of criti-cally reviewing how discourses and subsequent practices can perpetuateinequality within biology graduate education.

El primer volumen de la revista Tlamati. Sabiduría (Universidad Autónoma de Guerrero, abril-julio 2009) marca el inicio de un proyecto editorial que busca consolidar la investigación y la difusión académica en el estado de Guerrero. La publicación se presenta como un espacio interdisciplinario que integra ciencia, tecnología y humanidades, con el propósito de fortalecer la identidad universitaria y proyectar el conocimiento hacia la sociedad.En su presentación, se subraya que el nacimiento de la revista es un símbolo de orgullo institucional y un compromiso con la reforma universitaria, orientada a dar un “rostro y corazón nuevo” a la academia. Los artículos incluidos abordan temas diversos, desde reflexiones filosóficas sobre la sabiduría y el conocimiento, hasta estudios científicos aplicados al contexto regional. Se destacan investigaciones sobre flora y fauna de Guerrero, análisis de problemáticas sociales y culturales, así como propuestas para el desarrollo tecnológico y educativo.El volumen también enfatiza la importancia de rescatar el saber tradicional y vincularlo con la investigación moderna, creando un puente entre la herencia cultural y los retos del nuevo milenio. La revista se concibe como un foro abierto para docentes, investigadores y estudiantes, donde se fomenta la crítica, el diálogo y la construcción colectiva del conocimiento.

The intake of hesperidin-rich sources, mostly found in orange juice, can decrease cardiometabolic risk, potentially linked to the gut microbial phase-II hesperetin derivatives. However, the low hesperidin solubility hampers its bioavailability and microbial metabolism, yielding a high inter-individual variability (high vs. low-producers) that prevents consistent health-related evidence. Contrarily, the human metabolism of (lemon) eriocitrin is hardly known. We hypothesize that the higher solubility of (lemon) eriocitrin vs. (orange) hesperidin might yield more bioavailable metabolites than hesperidin. A randomized-crossover human pharmacokinetic study (n = 16) compared the bioavailability and metabolism of flavanones from lemon and orange extracts and postprandial changes in oxidative, inflammatory, and metabolic markers after a high-fat-high-sugars meal. A total of 17 phase-II flavanone-derived metabolites were identified. No significant biomarker changes were observed. Plasma and urinary concentrations of all metabolites, including hesperetin metabolites, were higher after lemon extract intake. Total plasma metabolites showed significantly mean lower Tmax (6.0 ± 0.4 vs. 8.0 ± 0.5 h) and higher Cmax and AUC values after lemon extract intake. We provide new insights on hesperetin-eriodictyol interconversion and naringenin formation from hesperidin in humans. Our results suggest that regular consumption of a soluble and eco-friendly eriocitrin-rich lemon extract could provide a circulating concentration metabolites threshold to exert health benefits, even in the so-called low-producers.

यह अध्ययन बिहार में बाढ़ प्रबंधन में सुधार के लिए तकनीकी, नीति, और समुदाय-आधारित समाधानों का समग्र दृष्टिकोण प्रस्तुत करता है। बिहार, जो अत्यधिक बाढ़-प्रवण राज्य है, जलवायु परिवर्तन के कारण बढ़ते बाढ़ के खतरे से जूझ रहा है। इस पेपर में उपग्रह आधारित पूर्वानुमान, AI-आधारित भविष्यवाणी मॉडल्स और स्मार्ट अलर्ट प्रणालियों जैसे तकनीकी उपायों की चर्चा की गई है, जो बाढ़ के जोखिम का सटीक और समय पर पूर्वानुमान करने में सहायक हो सकते हैं। इसके अलावा, पारंपरिक जल प्रबंधन प्रणालियों जैसे Ahar-Pyne के पुनर्निर्माण और सशक्त समुदाय नेटवर्क्स के निर्माण पर भी जोर दिया गया है। साथ ही, बाढ़ राहत कोष के वितरण में पारदर्शिता और डेटा-संचालित निर्णयों के महत्व को रेखांकित किया गया है। इन सभी उपायों के लागू होने से बाढ़ प्रबंधन को और अधिक प्रभावी और सशक्त बनाया जा सकता है, जिससे राज्य के सामाजिक और आर्थिक विकास को बढ़ावा मिलेगा।

Business effect and effectiveness of Artificial Intelligence (AI) chatbots in Uzbekistan's e- business are assessed in this research. Mixed method is used in the current research including literature review, data analysis, and interviewing experts, members of leading online companies. Research explores the contribution of AI towards efficiency in operation, customer care, and economy growth, with focus on SME readiness. Cross-country comparison with other emerging economies is conducted to benchmark the experience of Uzbekistan with that of other emerging economies. The results show that AI chatbot adoption is linked with cost savings, customer satisfaction, and business scalability. And once again, there is still much to be done in terms of digital literacy, infrastructure, and integration. The study confirms that AI chatbots can potentially be some of the drivers of digital transformation for Uzbekistan's e- commerce and a spur to mass economic modernization.

According to the World Health Organization, the number of individuals registered with a diagnosis of depression has exceeded 350 million worldwide. It is well known that depressive disorders occur more frequently in women than in men. The disease is characterized by a depressed mood, inability to concentrate, and a decrease in motivation for activity. In classical cases, it is accompanied by changes in appetite and sleep disturbances.
