This work aims to gain an understanding of the interactions between tread compounds and surface texture on dry and wet road conditions. If, for example, a corundum surface, which is very well-established in the tire industry, is used on the tire test bench instead of a real track surface, for wet track conditions ranking inversions in the tested compounds occur.

The paper presents the specific theoretical and methodological approach for the co-design of educational scenarios in the scientific field based on collaborative learning supported by technology. According to the Design Based Research research strategy, the teacher is involved in the research process, thus in the active planning of the path. The theoretical framework for the design of collaborative activities with digital technologies combined with the tools presented allowed the construction of two educational scenarios which were tested in the first cycle of experimentation. The co-design process structured in this way was welcomed positively by the teachers who appreciated the detailed approach, despite the demanding workload it required.

The book presents the social organization of escort agencies in Poland. The author focuses on analyzing the actions of female sex workers who are seen as active entities co-creating their working conditions. The author discusses the relationships between employees of the premises, namely the women providing sex services, the managers of the agencies and the security workers. Furthermore, she analyses the interactions between sex workers and their clients. The book is addressed to people who are interested in qualitative sociology, and those who would like to understand contemporary escort agencies in Poland. It will be also interesting for employees of organizations which work with people who provide sex services.

Le comté du Maine a été durant le XIe siècle disputé âprement entre ses deux puissants voisins ; les guerres et les rébellions baronnales passent pour avoir été les effets des rivalités qui ont opposé les comtes d'Anjou et les ducs de Normandie. Du coup, n'a-t-on pas sous-estimé les connivences entre ces princes territoriaux ? Les pouvoirs publics ont-ils été affaiblis et livrés à l'arbitraire d'une appropriation privée ? La mise en place de l'institution monarchique au XIIe siècle a-t-elle permis un retour à l'ordre, ou n'inaugurait-elle pas plutôt un autre ordre ? Ces questions trouvent leurs réponses dans les sources originales : elles sont analysées à partir de leurs conditions d'élaboration et de ce que les auteurs de l'époque, des hommes d'Église, voulaient dire et faire. Ainsi les violences seigneuriales sont réévaluées et nombre de schémas sur la chevalerie bousculés. Foi, stratégies politiques et considérations familiales se mêlaient alors étroitement. Fonder un monastère ou un prieuré, n'était-ce pas aussi fonder une nécropole familiale, établissement dont les saints devenaient les protecteurs d'une lignée ? Mais alors que penser, à partir du XIIe siècle, de ceux qui fondèrent de nouvelles nécropoles, infidèles en cela au choix de leurs ancêtres ? Loin des généralisations desséchantes, l'auteur a reconstitué les groupes de parenté. On y observe des lignées où les femmes ont été plus souvent qu'on ne l'a dit transmetteuses de patrimoines. En même temps, celles-ci étaient solidement encadrées et la reconnaissance de leur rôle n'allait pas sans une minoration juridique. Dans ce livre au cœur des débats historiographiques en cours, on lira aussi de nombreuses reconstitutions généalogiques originales et d'autres, rectifiées et dépoussiérées.

This is an open access book. CCICED has been woven into the fabric of China’s environmental development for the past 30 years—the length of an entire generation. This book is a compilation. It starts from the origins of the photosynthetic capacity of organisms with a summary of the evolution of photosynthesis. This is followed by a concise description of the photosynthetic process and a discussion of the role that light, nutrients, and cultivation play in the photosynthetic process using examples in each case. Germany and the Netherlands maintain close relationships. Over the last few decades their relations have constantly intensified, resulting in today’s close cooperation, consultations and interrelations in a variety of fields. However, despite their close ties and geographic proximity there are cultural differences between the two countries that lead to disturbances in cross-border cooperation. These cultural differences manifest in behavior, perceptions and attitudes and can lead to irritations, problems and even conflicts in German-Dutch interaction. This book provides an analysis of cultural characteristics that play a role in German-Dutch interaction as well as their relevance and conflict potential. With an entanglement of different methods both the rather concrete and visible manifestations and the general, rather superordinate and underlying aspects of culture are analyzed, providing the readers with a comprehensive understanding of their neighboring culture and enabling them to avoid irritations and conflicts when dealing with Dutch or Germans.

Quel rapport Hegel entretient-il avec la métaphysique ? Cette question engage un jugement quant à la nature des convictions fondamentales sur lesquelles repose sa philosophie : alors qu’elle a longtemps été louée (ou vilipendée) en tant que métaphysique spéculative, des approches récentes s’estiment en mesure de contourner ce problème. Les arguments hégéliens semblent alors pouvoir être reconstruits et évalués indépendamment des convictions métaphysiques professées par leur auteur ; la « conscience de soi métaphysique » de Hegel ferait en quelque sorte écran au potentiel rationnel et normatif de cette pensée. D’autres lectures actuelles résistent à une telle façon de voir : dissocier les analyses hégéliennes de leur arrière-plan métaphysique serait les priver de ce qu’elles ont de plus tranchant, les ramener au niveau de ce que Hegel nommait la pensée d’entendement. À vouloir actualiser sa philosophie, ne la condamne-t-on pas à l’insignifiance ? Ce débat, au cœur du commentaire hégélien actuel, s’est développé au mois de juin 2009 à l’Université de Poitiers et à la Sorbonne, lors d’un colloque international qui a réuni au total plus de vingt contributeurs comptant parmi les commentateurs les plus réputés de Hegel. Ce volume contient les textes qui y ont été présentés. Il constitue une pièce majeure de la discussion contemporaine autour de cette philosophie et montre combien Hegel est plus que jamais présent.
