This note focuses on how to improve the quality of clinical coding. Globally, standardized data on diagnoses and procedures are an essential input for monitoring the burden of disease, tracking treatment and patient outcomes, and targeting quality improvement interventions. However, in Indonesia the accuracy of clinical coding also has significant financial implications, as it is a key component in determining how hospitals are reimbursed

Ratings of the Corredor Seco Food Security Project for Honduras were as follows: outcome was moderately satisfactory; Bank performance was moderately satisfactory; Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) quality was substantial. Lessons and recommendations are as follows. Implementation timelines in fragile, climate-vulnerable contexts should be realistic and flexible, with design that explicitly calibrates political, institutional, and climate risks, builds time buffers into schedules, and preserves continuity and institutional memory to reduce the need for repeated restructurings. Sustaining food and nutrition security gains among poor and extremely poor households requires medium- to long-term engagement beyond project closure, including continued access to inputs, periodic technical assistance, and mentoring to maintain adoption of improved practices and the viability of on- and off-farm enterprises. Integrated, multisectoral approaches that jointly address climate-smart agriculture, income diversification, nutrition, health, sanitation, and behavior change are more effective for extremely poor households than standalone interventions and should be prioritized despite higher operational complexity. Advancing gender equality in rural settings is best achieved through integrated, participatory approaches embedded in productive activitiesβsuch as dialogue-based training that engages women and men together on norms, shared decision-making, leadership, and gender-based violenceβtherefore future operations should resource gender-integrated participatory models as core design features rather than isolated activities.

This note and accompanying database present preliminary analysis from real-time tracking of country responses worldwide. The analysis encompasses 195 countries and 17 variables yielding 3,842 individual data points. Social policy actions have been classified under 5 program categories (i.e., social assistance, social insurance, labor markets, subsidies, and services and logistics support) and 12 sub-categories (i.e., cash transfers, food assistance, vouchers, pensions, other social insurance, public works, trainings, wage subsidies, online work, energy subsidies, food subsidies, and agriculture/fertilizer subsidies). Such tracking system is likely the first and most comprehensive global social policy monitoring effort mounted in response to the current crisis. This note presents main findings as of March 24, with tracking being updated continuously and possible future notes being released pending on the evolving nature of the crisis.
