The Spatial Management and Reporting Tool (SMART) is a highly customizable, open‑source software platform designed to support the effective management of protected and conserved areas through systematic data collection, analysis, and reporting. Comprising mobile, desktop, and cloud‑based components, SMART enables rangers and conservation managers to capture standardized, georeferenced field data and transform it into actionable insights for planning, decision‑making, and resource allocation. SMART Desktop serves as the core system, housing site‑specific data models, conservation boundaries, infrastructure, patrol details, and analytical tools that generate automated reports and support adaptive patrol planning. SMART Mobile and SMART Collect facilitate efficient field data capture, including photos, audio, and evidence of wildlife crime, with offline functionality and later synchronization. SMART Connect extends these capabilities through real‑time data transmission, cloud‑based visualization, alerts, and integration with external sensors and platforms. Widely deployed across more than 1,000 sites globally, SMART strengthens anti‑poaching efforts, biodiversity monitoring, and human‑wildlife conflict management by enabling data‑driven, coordinated, and scalable conservation operations.

Foxlights are deterrent devices targeting night predators that have been used in a variety of applications, including to keep black bears away from villages in the Himalayas and to stop kangaroos and ducks from damaging crops in Australia. Each Foxlight has nine lights of up to three different colors (white, red, and blue), which blink to generate a randomized pattern of lights at irregular intervals. The randomized light sequence creates the perception of someone walking with a flashlight. This light is projected at 360 degrees and is visible for up to two kilometers if there are no obstructions.
