Abstract
Quantum computing is an emerging field that utilizes quantum mechanics to process information in ways other than classical computers. First, this chapter provides an overview of the fundamental definitions and concepts for quantum computing, such as qubits (quantum bits), superposition, entanglement, and finally, quantum gates. It also talks about the state of quantum technology today, including where we are with respect to building a functional quantum computer and general thoughts on potential future applications and challenges. At the end of this chapter, readers will be able to understand What quantum computing is and Why Quantum Computing is just on their fingertip.
