Abstract

Cybersecurity professionals should stay current on developments with whistleblowing systems. Countries have rapidly moved to enact laws aimed at protecting critical infrastructure. They have also been moving to protect personal privacy. The United States Department of Justice has created a cybersecurity initiative that has been pursuing allegations brought to the government by whistleblowers. Europe, South Korea and Singapore have all been focused on developing government infrastructure to combat cybersecurity threats. Threats presented by artificial intelligence are now also clearly in the sites of the government. Real-world examples provide context. A comparative analysis of cybersecurity whistleblowing systems is also included.
