Overview & Synopsis
This publication presents the speeches and workshop recommendations of participants at the governor's conference on Environmental/Conservation Education. The goals of the conference were to examine the issue areas of environmental/conservation education, to suggest ways and means to increase opportunities for environmental/conservation education in schools and among all ages of people, and to solicit the ideas of participants and the viewpoints of groups the participants represent for implementing environmental/conservation education. Speech topics included Values and Environmental Education, Land Use, Air, Water, Soil, and Open Space. A summary of the conference is given, along with a listing of the participants, in the concluding sections. (Author/MA)
