Guinea - Completion and Learning Review Validation of the Country Partnership Framework for the Period FY18-23
Overview & Synopsis
This validation of the World Bank Group’s (WBG) Completion and Learning Review (CLR) covers the Republic of Guinea Country Partnership Framework (CPF) for fiscal years (FY) 2018–23 and its adjustments through the Performance and Learning Review (PLR), dated June 23, 2021. The CPF objectives were aligned with the government’s priorities and the development challenges identified in the 2018 Systematic Country Diagnostic (SCD). The priorities of the Second Republic of Guinea National Plan for 2022–25 were (i) good governance for sustainable development; (ii) sustainable and inclusive economic transformation; (iii) inclusive development of human capital; and (iv) sustainable management of natural capital. The CPF’s three focus areas mapped well to these priorities and adapted to changing circumstances during program implementation. They included (i) fiscal and natural resource management; (ii) human development, especially for women and girls; and (iii) productivity and economic diversification.
