Overview & Synopsis
The country is experiencing strong and broad-based economic expansion with low and stable inflation, improving fiscal performance, rising investment, and a gradual strengthening of external balances supported by resilient private sector credit and trade. In the coming years, the Bank will focus on sustaining and diversifying growth by improving agricultural productivity and value chains, advancing industrial development and competitiveness, and strengthening services to accelerate structural transformation. Support will prioritize trade facilitation and export capacity to enhance external sector performance, deepen financial intermediation to expand access to credit for enterprises, and reinforce public financial management and debt management to protect macroeconomic stability. The Bank will also promote investment climate reforms to catalyze private investment, foster skills and market linkages across agriculture, industry, and services, and enhance data and analytical systems to inform evidence-based policymaking, thereby translating growth into more resilient and inclusive development.
