The Need for Statistics Education in Our Secondary Schools and Technical Colleges
Overview & Synopsis
The type of general education acquired by students in Nigeria is examined. It is argued that implied or formal statistical knowledge is essential as a basis for rational decision-making and for understanding other subjects, and that Nigeria's existing system leaves gaps in a student's education that handicap him in postsecondary studies.
