Kyrgyzstan CCDR Water Availability Memo
Overview & Synopsis
Climate change is anticipated to change water availability in a variety of ways, with insufficient water supply affecting water-dependent industries in a country as well as domestic use by the general population. To estimate the impacts of climate change on water availability, we use a Water Evaluation And Planning (WEAP) water systems model to evaluate flows to different water users in the country, taking into account competing uses, climate change effects, and available storage infrastructure.
