Environmental Education within Pre-Service Teacher Education: The Priority of Priorities.
Overview & Synopsis
Discusses the role of preservice teacher education in the care and improvement of the environment and the growing recognition among international organizations of the need to make environmental education at this level a priority. Analysis of research findings indicates inadequate provision for environmental education in preservice teacher education, especially at the elementary school level. (47 references) (MDH)
