Overview & Synopsis

The objective of the Additional Financing of the Second Kenya Social and Economic Inclusion Project for Kenya is to promote economic resilience of poor and vulnerable households and strengthen the adaptive social protection system. The Additional Financing (AF) will scale up and deepen impact under Component 1 (Building Human Capital of Children and Adolescents), with a focus on supporting adolescents’ educational attainment under Subcomponent 1b. It will also include a restructuring of the parent project to elevate the State Department for Children Services (SDCS) into an implementing agency (IA). The AF will constitute a grant from the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), channeled through the Rapid Social Response (RSR) Multi-Donor Trust Fund.
