On June 30, 2026, the Executive Directors approved, on an absence-of-objection basis, Phase 3 of the Central Asia Water Efficiency and Conservation Multiphase Programmatic Approach (MPA), authorizing investment in Tajikistan for the Second Strengthening Water and Irrigation Management Project and in Central Asia through the Executive Committee of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea (EC IFAS) for the Central Asia Water Efficiency Cooperation Project, in accordance with the terms and conditions set out in the President’s Memorandum; an abstention was recorded.
