Lebanon - Fiscal Management Project : Additional Financing
Overview & Synopsis
The objective of the Additional Financing of the Fiscal Management Project is to support the Lebanese Republic restore the basic functions for domestic revenue mobilization and accountable allocation and use of public resources. The Additional Financing of 7.2 million dollar made available by the LFF in grant terms will continue to fund critical activities that bridge between crisis management and longer-term revenue administration capacity. The AF will cover SIGTAS stabilization (3.5 million dollar), GDLRC upgrades (3.0 million dollar), and ASYCUDA support (0.7 million dollar). Together, these investments are deemed necessary to stabilize the systems against the outdated infrastructure, expired licenses, and unsupported data center services. Moreover, the AF will not add to Lebanon’s public debt, a critical consideration given the country's high debt-to-GDP ratio, because is funded entirely by a grant from the LFF.
