Nigeria National EdTech Strategy (2026-2030) : A Unified Framework for Digital Education Transformation
Overview & Synopsis
The Nigeria National EdTech Strategy (2026–2030) presents a comprehensive national framework to transform education through digital innovation, data-driven decision-making, and inclusive learning systems. The strategy aims to move Nigeria from fragmented educational technology initiatives to an integrated digital education ecosystem anchored on five strategic pillars: Data & Interoperability (NEDI), Infrastructure Ecosystem, Technology & Procurement, Teacher Transformation (NTDCF), and Governance & System Coordination. It outlines a phased implementation roadmap, financing mechanisms, monitoring and evaluation framework, and long-term sustainability measures to improve learning outcomes, strengthen education data systems, expand connectivity and infrastructure, and build a digitally competent teaching workforce. The strategy also establishes pathways for responsible AI adoption in education and positions Nigeria as a future regional leader in digital education transformation.
