Designed for
students of diverse educational backgrounds, this laboratory course covers a
broad spectrum of chemical techniques essential for practical work in chemistry.
It includes inorganic chemistry techniques such as the identification of anions
and cations, as well as organic chemistry methods like separation techniques and
qualitative analysis. The course also features physical chemistry experiments
that teach students about surface tension, viscosity, pH measurement, and
thermochemistry. Emphasizing hands-on experience, the manual provides detailed
instructions for conducting titrimetric and spectrophotometric analyses, as well
as the proper use and calibration of equipment like microscopes and centrifuges.
This course aims to build competence in fundamental laboratory skills across
multiple branches of chemistry.
