Discrimination in Educational Placement and Referral.
Overview & Synopsis
A study was conducted to compare the referral and placement rates of minority and majority students in Milwaukee exceptional education programs. It found that, while discrimination may be lessening, minorities (especially blacks) still tend to be referred for exceptional education relatively more often than majority group students. (KH)
