Trends in Nondegree Certification Programs: A National Survey.
Overview & Synopsis
From 50 institutions with nondegree certification programs, 35 responses revealed great variability, covering all levels from high school to graduate. Governance varied among academic units, continuing education divisions, and committees; some used input from professional associations. Although expected to grow, such programs were unlikely to gain wide faculty acceptance. (SK)
