Unlocking Thailand's Border Potential
Overview & Synopsis
This study examines development challenges and opportunities in the border provinces through multiple analytical lenses. Our analysis begins with an assessment of border provinces' economic potential using the Development Potential Assessment Index (DPAI), a measurement tool previously applied by the World Bank in India and the European Union. We identify areas that mostborder provinces share, and this is followed by in-depth case studies of five selected border provinces.
