Overview & Synopsis
This Standard Procurement Document (SPD) for Plant (Design, Supply & Installation) has been prepared for use in contracts financed by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) and the International Development Association (IDA). This SPD is to be used for the procurement of Plant through international competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) method after prequalification or without prequalification (either option to be applied depending on the Project Procurement Strategy for Development), in projects that are financed, in whole or in part, by the World Bank through Investment Project Financing. This SPD applies a two (2) envelope bidding process and requires the application of the Rated Criteria, including their mandatory weightings, for bid evaluation.
