Overview & Synopsis

Directed to all New York State business education teachers, other teachers, and business and educational groups, this report contains recommendations made by the Statewide Business Review Committee. Report topics include the following: student populations to be served; business education programs; core requirements of the business education curriculum; the business education curriculum (competency-based, recommended curriculum development procedures, meeting local and individual needs, state and required committees, and implementation); effective use of resources and instructional strategies (the teacher as a manager of learning resources, articulation with business, and teaching methods); adult business education; program articulation; business teacher education; and maintaining a relevant business education program.
