Overview & Synopsis

The development objective of Climate Resilient Transport Project for Samoa is to improve the climate resilience of Samoa’s road network and in the event of an Eligible Crisis or Emergency, to provide an immediate response to the Eligible Crisis or Emergency. This paper seeks approval for an Additional International Development Association (IDA) Grant in the amount of Special Drawing Rights (SDR) 8.9 million. It also seeks approval for a Level 2 restructuring. This will be the third project restructuring, with the following changes are proposed: (i) adjustment to the Results Framework to amend Intermediate Results Indicators; (ii) revision to the disbursement estimates to account for the proposed AF-I; (iii) revision to the Component costs to account for the proposed AF-I; (iv) reallocation between the Disbursement Categories; and, (iv) revision to the institutional arrangements. The restructuring will not introduce changes to the Project Development Objective (PDO) or impact the fiduciary or other implementation arrangements.
