Overview & Synopsis

Korea Program for Operational Knowledge (KPOK) continues to align its activities with World Bank Group (WBG) corporate priorities, ensuring that its learning offerings contribute to broader institutional objectives. A central element of this alignment is KPOK’s active contribution to the WBG Knowledge Bank - the institution’s evolving framework for capturing, structuring, and disseminating operational knowledge generated across the Bank Group. By transforming lessons from its activities into reusable knowledge assets, KPOK supports the Knowledge Bank’s mission of turning operational experience into shared institutional learning. KPOK has also been strengthening coordination with the WBG Academy around a shared goal: generating greater operational impact and lasting change on the ground. The collaboration is grounded in the recognition that capacity development is most effective when it connects learning directly to operational challenges and translates knowledge into practice. The E-Mobility Knowledge Exchange served as an initial pilot and the launch event for the Academy’s yearlong Impact Program. Structured as a cross-institutional convening, it brought together WBG leadership and operational teams - including IFC and MIGA representatives - whose perspectives on private sector mobilization and investment enriched the learning experience and sharpened its operational relevance.
