Special Education: The Revolution Continues.
Overview & Synopsis
The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act 1975 (IDEA) has facilitated tremendous advances in special education. However, some changes have created differences among school and community members in how they perceive special education (e.g., educational funding and discipline policy). The differences will be examined in Congress with the 1997 reauthorization of IDEA. (SM)
