Overview & Synopsis

The development objective of the Adaptive Safety Nets and Economic Inclusion Project for Cameroon is to: (i) expand the coverage and shock-responsive capacity of the safety nets system for poor households, and (ii) increase access to income-generation and entrepreneurship support opportunities for youth in urban areas. This additional financing (AF) aims to replenish funds to continue implementing project’s components and sub-components that were depleted. The AF will replenish resources for activities under Category 1 (Goods, works, non-consulting services, consulting services, and operating costs for the Project); Category 2 (Regular Cash Transfers under Part 1.1 (a) of the Project); and Category 4 (Labor Payments for Microprojects under Part 1.3 of the Project). Additionally, it will add resources to Category 3 (Emergency Cash Transfers under Part 1.2 (a)). The AF will maintain the parent project’s targeting criteria, prioritizing poor households, internally displaced person (IDPs) and climate vulnerable population, as defined in the project implementation manual.
