Economics & Development Published 2025 Verification Pending

Overview & Synopsis

This e-readiness assessment evaluated how well Tanzania’s higher and vocational education institutions are prepared to provide digital skills training for youth employability. It focused on identifying key challenges and opportunities, with the goal of establishing Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) as central hubs for their surrounding communities. The study supports the implementation of the 2023 Education and Training Policy (ETP 2023), which emphasizes skills relevant to today’s job market. The main objective of this study is to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the conditions and barriers surrounding the adoption of EdTech in higher education settings, focusing on existing institutional stakeholders and the business community.
