A Framework for Evaluating Cooperative Education in Canada.
Overview & Synopsis
Government, employers, postsecondary institutions, and students decide whether to continue supporting cooperative education based on information about costs, processes, outputs, and outcomes. Assessment of available evidence suggests that co-op's benefits largely exceed costs, but university faculty and administrators need better evidence of educational benefits to solidify co-op's position in higher education.
