A Comparison of Integrated Outdoor Education Activities and Traditional Science Learning with American Indian Students.
Overview & Synopsis
Comparison of a culturally-sensitive activity-based outdoor science curriculum with a traditional textbook and classroom approach found that fourth-grade American Indian students in the activity-based group had significantly higher science achievement scores than those in the control group. There were no significant differences between Indian and non-Indian students receiving activity-based instruction. (LP)
