Burkina Faso - Human Capital Protection Project : Additional Financing

Overview & Synopsis

The development objective of the Human Capital Protection Project for Burkina Faso is to support the Recipient’s efforts to ensure the provision of essential social services. The additional financing (AF) will introduce changes to the parent project including updating the eligible budget lines and components costs and updating the results framework. The AF will conclude the cycle of recurrent-cost financing that has supported the government’s planned increases in health and education spending. The AF will also smooth the transition to other financing instruments and sources, including government resources and two new IDA-funded projects in the health and education sectors.
