Really Great Returns to Medical Education?
Overview & Synopsis
Compares the returns of a medical education as opposed to education for alternative professional careers, using 1970 Census data. The results show that the returns of a medical education exceed those in alternative professions, though when adjustments are made for hours worked, physicians' earnings become roughly equal to those of dentists and lawyers.
