Technical Education in Cyprus.
Overview & Synopsis
Since independence from Britain in 1960, the establishment and organization of technical education has been one of the Cyprus government's primary concerns. Recently, Cyprus has stressed the college-preparatory course in both the gymnasium (high school) and vocational/technical curriculum. The Cyprus education system produces highly qualified graduates and excels at curriculum development and modern Greek translations of technical material. (MLH)
